Prevent

The definition of prevention according to the National Preparedness goal is as follows;

The term “prevention” refers to those capabilities necessary to avoid, prevent, or stop a threatened or actual act of terrorism. Prevention capabilities include, but are not limited to, information sharing and warning; domestic counterterrorism; and preventing the acquisition or use of weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

For citizens to assist with prevention we don’t have to look far, we just need to look. If you see something suspicious, say something! If you live in border areas and see strange activity, speak up. If you are out on a walk and you see something that doesn’t look right just report it. Anytime  you think that something you’ve seen or heard, gives you a strange feeling, call local law enforcement. They are happy to help!
